District Winery Grand Opening

The wait is over! D.C’s first operational commercial winery has officially opened in The Yards along the Anacostia River. Outside of the boundary-pushing creation of small-batch wines, the ground level will also host Ana, District Winery’s full-service upscale dining restaurant spearheaded by Executive Chef Michael Gordon and Chef de Cuisine Benjamin Lambert. The mezzanine level provides guests with a viewing platform overlooking Ana and the wine production facility. The second floor will be solely reserved for weddings and private events with an expansive, wraparound outdoor terrace offering additional gathering space accented by greenery and a trellised canopy.

Harvest season is around the corner and District Winery uses a unique process to ensure that they are able to deliver a range of unique flavor profiles for the American grape. Each season grapes are delivered fresh from boutique vineyards along the east and west coasts, which gives District Winery the ability to create an ever-evolving portfolio of wine varieties.
