STK took over Dupont Circle for an #unmiSTKable Grand Opening Celebration in the heart of the Nation’s Capital on Thursday, April 24th. The vibe-driven scene that guests have come to expect internationally was met with eager locals, notables and celebrities anxious to gain a first glimpse at The ONE Group’s first Washington outpost. The evening began in true red carpet fashion, complete with models lining the walkway and applying #kisSTK temporary tattoos on the 400+ invitees before their turn in front of the camera’s flashlight.  Once inside, guests from all struts of DC (politicos, government executives, media, socialites, athletes and tech/business moguls) mixed, mingled and sampled the food and beverage options to the sounds of locally-based / nationally-recognized DJ Dirty hands and DJ Martial from New York City.

 

Notably, Mark Ein (Washington Kastles), Shawn Springs and Lee Boden (Retired Redskins), Chris Tavlarides (Washington Kastles), Amanda Polk, Andre Wells (Events by Andre Wells), Johnny Wright (celebrity hairstylist), Greg O’Dell (Events DC), Elliott Ferguson (Destination DC), Kathy Hollinger (Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington), Tommy McFly, Kelly Collis and Jen Richer (Fresh FM), Guy Lambert (WPGC) along with several media personalities and friends were spotted in the restaurant’s reserved sleek signature banquettes.  Bongo drummer, Robert Powell, accompanied the crowd-pleasing mixes and put on a show for the crowd right in the middle of the dance floor.  Guests stayed until well past midnight.

 

STK co-founders Celeste Fierro and Jonathan Segal greeted guests and entertained friends from all over Washington (and beyond) as they celebrated the eighth outpost of the artfully blended concept – the modern steakhouse and chic lounge.  Executive Chef Marc Hennessy and team showcased bite-sized STK signature dishes such as Chimichurri Skirt Steak Skewers, Mac-N-Cheese Bites, Oyster Shooters, Tuna Tartare, Sweet Corn Pudding, lil BRG’s, Shrimp Cocktail and Truffle Fries while the bar highlighted two specialty cocktails, Green Intensity and Sterling Silver, as well as red, white and sparkling wine.
