Cathay Pacific Airways is a major international airline based in Hong Kong with a significant commitment to safety and an award-winning reputation for outstanding in-flight service. With a fleet of all widebody aircraft, Cathay Pacific offers service several times daily to Hong Kong from Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Newark, New York (JFK), and San Francisco in the United States. The airline engaged TAA PR to support the launch of the four-times weekly service from Washington Dulles (IAD) to Hong Kong on September 16, 2018.
As the agency of record for Lagos, Nigeria based luxury lingerie and tailored clothing designer Patience Torlowei, TAA PR handles all global press including surrounding the Esther Dress currently on exhibit as part of the permanent collection at the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art and the collections. The brand recently closed New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2020 season with a private dinner hosted by long time Vogue editor at large, André Leon Talley at Majorelle in Manhattan. Special guests included Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar Editor, Tonne Goodman, Wendy Goodman, Design Editor at New York Magazine, Robin Givhan, Pulitzer Prize winning fashion critic at The Washington Post, Lola Ogunnaike, Arise Media, Mrs. Irene Akoffo Addo and several fashion insiders and friends from the US, London and Africa.

His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of Ghana attended the 2019 National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, DC and delivered the Keynote address at the Leadership Luncheon of the Prayer Breakfast. As part of His visit to Washington DC, the President officially launched the National Cathedral of Ghana at a Fundraising Dinner at the Museum of the Bible on February 8, 2019.
The National Cathedral, designed by the internationally acclaimed Architect, Sir David Adjaye –who designed the African American museum in Washington DC, provides a Cathedral for National purposes.
President Akuffo Addo was accompanied by the Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Rt Hon Prof. Michael Ocquaye, Ministers of State including Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, as well as Trustees of the National Cathedral of Ghana.
Mercy Ships is a global charity established more than 40 years ago, operating the world’s largest private hospital ship providing critically challenged people in Africa with lifesaving and life-transforming surgeries and health interventions. Mercy Ships has impacted more than 2 million African people with surgeries and treatments valued at more than $1 billion USD – free of charge. The organization also trains African doctors, nurses, midwives and health care workers across the Continent. TAA produced a high-level fundraiser, themed “Within Our Reach” Cocktails and Conversation Reception in support of Mercy Ships on Wednesday, 25 September at The Four Seasons Hotel, New York co-hosted by H.E. Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal and Former President Obasanjo of Nigeria in his capacity as Patron of the AfroChampions Initiatives.
African private sector leaders who have joined the roster of global donors supporting the work of Mercy Ships were recognized. It was truly an honor to host six African Heads of State for such an exclusive reception during the 2019 United Nations General Assembly.
