TAA PR was pleased to launch SHŌTŌ, a high-energy and luxurious dining experience to Washington, D.C. With a wide-ranging menu of sushi and inventive Japanese-inspired dishes, it quickly became the city’s hardest reservation and downtown’s be-seen spot, which is no surprise since it comes from the renowned London-based, global restaurateur Arjun Waney.
Since opening, SHŌTŌ has become an undisputed favorite among A-listers, including President and Mrs. Obama, Serena Williams, Sean Penn, Kevin Hart and Alexander Ovechkin.
Arman Naqi, a D.C. native, George Washington University graduate, and a disciple of Waney’s restaurants-as-parties paradigm, will sheppard the opening of two more concepts in the same downtown complex: ĀKĒDO, a chef-driven, fast-casual Japanese street food restaurant and THE ARCADE, an ultra high-end lounge and nightlife destination eclectically conceived by Tokyo-based designer Noriyoshi Muramatsu.
An overnight success, SHŌTŌ garnered the attention of national media and is a darling of the city’s top critic.
